Itinerary
In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to begin your exciting tour.
Giza Pyramids
The Pyramids of Giza, the last remaining wonder of the ancient world, are one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. This site features the three main pyramids: the Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Mykerinus.
Queen Pyramids
You’ll also visit the smaller pyramids, where the queens of the pharaohs were buried. This area includes ancient workers' villages, temples, and tombs that offer a glimpse into daily life in ancient Egypt.
Great Sphinx of Giza
The Great Sphinx of Giza, a colossal limestone statue, is one of Egypt’s most famous symbols. Depicting a reclining lion with a human head, it was originally painted in red ochre and adorned with a beard, which has eroded over time.
Valley Temple
Next, you’ll visit the Valley Temple, which was used in the purification and mummification process of the pharaohs before their burial.
Saqqara Pyramid
We will then proceed to Saqqara, another ancient necropolis near Memphis. Here, you’ll explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser, one of the first pyramids ever built, which dates back to around 2650 BC. Designed by the architect Imhotep, this pyramid set the standard for later pyramid construction.
Lunch
After the visit to the pyramids, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Egyptian cuisine (drinks not included).
Ancient Memphis
Following lunch, we will visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt between 3100 and 2040 BC. This is the site of the coronation of the pharaohs, and you’ll see the colossal statue of Ramses II, one of the most famous pharaohs. This pink granite statue stands over 11 meters tall and weighs more than 80 tons.
Bent Pyramid
Next, we’ll head to Dahshur, home to the Bent Pyramid. This impressive structure, built by Pharaoh Sneferu, is 90 meters tall and is the fourth-largest pyramid in Egypt.
Red Pyramid
Nearby, we’ll visit the Red Pyramid, which marks an important evolution in pyramid construction. Standing at 105 meters tall, the Red Pyramid was the first true smooth-sided pyramid built by Sneferu.
After the tour, we will return you to your hotel, giving you time to reflect on the incredible sights and history you’ve experienced.
