Itinerary
Pyramids of Egypt Tour
In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to begin your unforgettable journey through Egypt’s ancient wonders.
Pyramids of Giza
The Giza Pyramids are the last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and one of the most renowned structures in the world. The site includes three main pyramids: the Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Chephren, and the Pyramid of Mykerinus.
The Queen Pyramids
You will also visit the smaller pyramids, which are the burial places of the queens and royal women of the pharaohs. Explore the surrounding areas with workers’ villages, temples, and cemeteries that reveal more about daily life during the ancient Egyptian era.
The Sphinx of Giza
The Great Sphinx is an awe-inspiring monument carved from the limestone of the Giza Plateau. This massive statue, with the body of a lion and the head of a human, once had a painted red ochre finish and a beard, though much of it has eroded over time.
Valley Temple of Khafre
Next, we will visit the Valley Temple, where the mummification of Pharaoh Khafre was performed. The temple played a significant role in the purification rituals before the pharaoh’s burial.
Saqqara Pyramid
We will continue to Saqqara, an expansive pyramid complex and part of the ancient necropolis of Memphis. Here, you’ll see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, one of the first pyramids ever built. This pyramid, constructed around 2650 BC, was designed by Imhotep, the renowned architect, and stands as a model for later pyramid structures.
Lunch
After visiting the Giza Pyramids, we will take a break and enjoy a delicious Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included).
The Bent Pyramid
We will then head to Dahshur, located south of Giza. Although less visited, the Bent Pyramid is a remarkable structure. Standing at 90 meters tall, it was built by Sneferu, the father of Khufu, who built the Great Pyramid of Giza. This pyramid is famous for its unique angle and shape.
The Red Pyramid
Close by, we will visit the Red Pyramid, so named for the reddish hue of its limestone. Standing at 105 meters, it marks a significant evolution in pyramid construction, bridging the transition from stepped to smooth-sided pyramids. Its entrance is crafted from striking red granite.
After the tour, we will take you back to your hotel.
