The M/Y Alyssa was designed by Pia Schmid, a Swiss architect with extensive experience in the hotel industry. Renowned across Europe for her expertise and diverse portfolio, Pia brought her unique design philosophy to this project. She focused on craftsmanship, a deep respect for the ship’s local environment, and a sense of color harmony. Every detail aboard the M/Y Alyssa was thoughtfully curated, with the team always considering the environmental impact. Unlike many other cruise ships, the M/Y Alyssa features custom-made furniture, upholstery, and cabin layouts, all designed specifically for the yacht, not sourced from catalogs. This attention to detail extends to the selection of pure wool rugs, tailored to complement the yacht’s aesthetic in key areas.
What sets the M/Y Alyssa apart from other Nile cruise ships is its unique interior, which was exclusively created for the vessel. On the top deck, guests can enjoy a wellness center equipped with modern amenities, including a mud bath, sauna, jacuzzi, and a fully-equipped gym offering cardiovascular machines like a bike, rowing machine, treadmill, and multi-purpose equipment. For ultimate relaxation, a licensed masseuse is also available on board.
